EverBee vs Etsy's Free Shop Stats: What Each Shows
Etsy Shop Stats shows your own shop's real visits, orders, revenue, conversion rate and traffic sources for free. EverBee estimates sales and revenue for other sellers' listings. Here is what each one shows, how their numbers differ, and when the free option is enough.

New sellers often ask whether they need EverBee when Etsy already has a free Stats page. The short answer: they answer different questions. Etsy Shop Stats measures your own shop. EverBee estimates other sellers’ listings and shops. Most of the confusion comes from both tools using words like “sales,” “views” and “conversion rate” for numbers that are calculated differently.
This comparison is based on Etsy Help’s How to Use Etsy Stats for Your Shop, the Shop Stats Glossary and the Marketplace Insights article, EverBee’s Help Center (Welcome to EverBee, Product Analytics, Shop Analyzer) and everbee.io/pricing, all checked on October 20, 2026. We did not run either tool on a live shop for this article. The image above is EverBee’s own Help Center screenshot. Features and plan limits change, so confirm on the live pages.
Quick answer
- Use Etsy Shop Stats to see what actually happened in your shop: visits, orders, revenue, conversion rate, where shoppers came from and which search terms found your listings. It’s free in Shop Manager → Stats and in the Etsy Seller App.
- Use EverBee to research other sellers: estimated monthly sales and revenue for listings, competitor shops and keyword volume. The free Hobby plan shows views, reviews and favorites; estimated sales, revenue and conversion rate need a paid plan.
- Don’t compare the two directly. Etsy’s conversion rate is orders ÷ visits. EverBee’s is estimated total sales ÷ total views. Etsy’s revenue excludes shipping and tax; EverBee’s monthly revenue is price × estimated monthly sales.
- If you only want your own numbers, you don’t need EverBee. Etsy Stats, plus Etsy’s free Marketplace Insights keyword tool, covers that.

What Etsy Shop Stats shows
Etsy’s help article describes three main sections, found under Shop Manager → Stats.
Metrics overview
Shop-level graphs for Visits, Orders, Conversion rate and Revenue. You pick the time period from a dropdown. If your shop is more than a year old, you can turn on Compare to previous period to see the same window from last year.
The Shop Stats Glossary defines the terms precisely:
- Visits: unique browsing sessions in your shop. Several listing views in one session count as one visit.
- Orders: completed purchases, not the number of individual items sold.
- Revenue: total sales of your orders, minus shipping and tax.
- Conversion rate: the percentage of visits that resulted in an order.
- Listing views: total times your listings were clicked on.
Etsy’s own example: one shopper who lands on a listing from search and then views five more listings counts as one visit and six listing views.
How shoppers found you
A breakdown of visits by traffic source: Etsy search, Etsy app & other Etsy pages, Etsy marketing & SEO, Etsy Ads, Offsite Ads, Social media and Direct & other traffic. Selecting a source shows the specific page a shopper came from just before your shop or listing.
Selecting Etsy search shows the search terms shoppers used to find your listings. This is the one piece of keyword data no third-party tool can give you, because it comes from your own traffic.
Shoppers viewed your listings
Per-listing views, favorites, orders and revenue, sortable by any of them. You can filter by listing type, such as expired or sold out. Etsy notes that only active listings appear in the detailed list.
Two details that trip people up
- Visits are filtered for bots a few times a day and again at the end of the day, so a day’s visit count can go down later.
- Time zones: Etsy says hourly stats for today, yesterday or the past two days use your own time zone; all other time frames are in UTC.
Etsy’s free keyword tool: Marketplace Insights
Under Shop Manager → Stats → Marketplace Insights, Etsy shows real search data for a keyword, such as the number of searches and listings on Etsy over the last 30 days, plus related terms and trends. Sellers get 15 keyword searches per week for free; Etsy Plus subscribers get unlimited searches. It’s desktop and mobile web only for now.
Marketplace Insights covers keyword demand. It doesn’t show other sellers’ sales.
What EverBee shows
EverBee’s Welcome article describes it as a research tool for Etsy sellers. You create an account, install the Chrome extension and connect your Etsy shop. The research features point outward at other sellers.
Product Analytics: estimates for any listing
Run it on an Etsy search page, or from the EverBee dashboard, and EverBee builds a table for the listings it finds. The Product Analytics article defines the columns:
- Monthly Sales: approximate units sold per month, calculated as total sales ÷ listing age. That makes it a lifetime average, not this month’s sales.
- Monthly Revenue: price × monthly sales, including all variants.
- Total Sales: estimated units sold since the listing was created.
- Visibility Score: compares a listing’s daily views with others on the platform.
- Conversion Rate: total sales ÷ total views.
- Also: price, shop name, reviews and listing age.
EverBee notes that the premium tools in this feature are only on the Growth and Business plans. Per the pricing page, the free Hobby plan’s Product Analytics shows views, reviews and favorites, while sales, revenue and conversion rate are on Growth and Business. On the extension, EverBee analyzes the listings on the Etsy page you’re viewing, usually 64 per page.
Shop Analyzer and Tag Analyzer: competitor shops and tags
The Shop Analyzer shows a competitor shop’s listings with sales revenue, tags and related data, from the web app or the extension. Tag Analyzer shows the tags a competitor uses and is a Growth/Business feature on the pricing page. We cover both in more depth in EverBee Shop Analyzer and EverBee Tag Analyzer.
Keyword Research
Search volume, competition and trends for keywords, with Keyword Score (volume relative to competition) on paid plans. Hobby includes 10 keywords. See how to use EverBee keyword research.
”My Shop” for your own shop
EverBee’s Welcome article lists a My Shop area for a connected shop, with an Overview (your shop’s stats, a chart and a price breakdown), Listings and Tag Analytics, Reviews and About. EverBee’s Help Center doesn’t say that My Shop includes visits, traffic sources or the search terms shoppers used. For those, Etsy Shop Stats is the source.
Why the numbers won’t match
If you look up your own listing in EverBee and compare it with Etsy Stats, expect differences. That’s normal, for four reasons:
- Estimated vs recorded. Etsy counts your real orders. EverBee estimates sales for listings it doesn’t own the data for.
- Different conversion rates. Etsy divides orders by visits (sessions). EverBee divides estimated sales by listing views. One visit can include several views, so the two percentages measure different things.
- Different revenue. Etsy’s revenue is order totals minus shipping and tax. EverBee’s monthly revenue is price × estimated monthly sales.
- Different time frames. EverBee’s monthly sales is a lifetime average (total sales ÷ listing age). Etsy Stats shows whatever period you select.
Use Etsy Stats as the record for your own shop. Use EverBee’s figures to compare listings and niches with each other, not as exact numbers. Our guide to how to see Etsy sales of other sellers explains where those estimates come from.
Which one to use for common questions
| Your question | Start with |
|---|---|
| ”Why did my sales drop?” | Etsy Stats: compare visits, conversion rate and traffic sources with the previous period |
| ”Which search terms bring shoppers to my listings?” | Etsy Stats → How shoppers found you → Etsy search |
| ”How many people search for this keyword?” | Etsy Marketplace Insights (15 free searches/week) or EverBee Keyword Research |
| ”Is this product idea selling for other shops?” | EverBee Product Analytics (estimated sales on paid plans) |
| “What is a competitor shop’s best-selling listing?” | EverBee Shop Analyzer |
| ”Which tags do competitors use?” | EverBee Tag Analyzer (Growth or Business plan) |
| “Are my Etsy Ads bringing visits?” | Etsy Stats traffic sources plus the Etsy Ads dashboard |
Etsy’s glossary also notes that conversion rate can be affected by photos, price, reviews, titles and descriptions, and shipping and return policies. If your visits are healthy but conversion is low, a research tool won’t fix that; your listing pages will.
Do you need EverBee if you have Etsy Stats?
- No, if you mainly want to understand your own shop’s traffic and orders. Etsy Stats and Marketplace Insights are free and come from Etsy’s own data.
- Maybe, if you’re choosing what to make next or entering a niche and want a sense of what’s selling for other shops. Start on EverBee’s free Hobby plan; there’s no free trial, but Hobby needs no credit card. See EverBee Hobby vs Growth for exactly what the free plan cuts.
- Upgrade only when you’ll actually use estimated sales, revenue and conversion columns, Keyword Score or Tag Analyzer every week. See the official pricing page for current pricing.
A practical routine many sellers can follow: check Etsy Stats weekly for your own shop, and use EverBee when you research new products or competitors. Our full EverBee review covers accuracy, pricing and alternatives.
FAQ
Is Etsy Shop Stats free?
Yes. Stats is built into Shop Manager for every Etsy shop and is also available in the Etsy Seller App. Marketplace Insights, also under Stats, gives 15 free keyword searches per week.
Can Etsy Stats show other sellers’ sales?
No. Etsy Stats shows your own shop’s data only. To see estimates for other sellers’ listings and shops, you need a third-party tool such as EverBee, and those figures are estimates.
Why is EverBee’s conversion rate different from Etsy’s?
They use different formulas. Etsy’s conversion rate is the share of visits that ended in an order. EverBee’s Product Analytics conversion rate is estimated total sales divided by total listing views.
Does EverBee show my shop’s traffic sources?
EverBee’s Help Center doesn’t list traffic sources for its My Shop area. Etsy Stats shows them under How shoppers found you, including Etsy search, Etsy Ads, Offsite Ads, social media and direct traffic.
What does EverBee’s free plan show?
Per everbee.io/pricing on October 20, 2026, Hobby includes Product Analytics with views, reviews and favorites, 10 keyword searches, basic filters, and favorites for 5 keywords, 5 shops and 1 folder. Sales, revenue and conversion rate are on Growth and Business.
Final verdict
Etsy Shop Stats and EverBee aren’t really competitors. Etsy Stats is the free, authoritative record of your own shop: visits, orders, revenue, conversion rate, traffic sources and the search terms that found you. EverBee is a research tool for looking outward: estimated sales and revenue for other listings, competitor shops and keyword demand. Start with Etsy Stats. Add EverBee’s free Hobby plan when your question shifts from “how is my shop doing?” to “what’s selling for everyone else?”
