EverBee and Sale Samurai are both Etsy research tools built around a Chrome extension, keyword data and listing analytics. The overlap is real, so the choice mostly comes down to price, free-plan limits and which extra tools you will actually use.
This page is based on both companies’ public pricing pages, EverBee’s Help Center, Sale Samurai’s homepage and its Chrome Web Store listing, all checked on October 18, 2026. We have not run a paid side-by-side test of either tool. Prices, limits and feature names change; confirm on the live sites before you subscribe.
Quick verdict
- You want the cheapest paid plan with keyword volume, listing research and a few listing-writing helpers? Sale Samurai’s paid plan is listed well below EverBee Growth.

- You want to try paid features before paying? Sale Samurai advertises a 3-day free trial. EverBee says it has no free trial, but its Hobby plan is free with no credit card.

Pricing compared
EverBee
EverBee’s pricing page lists three plans:
- Hobby: “free forever.” Product Analytics limited to views, reviews and favorites, 10 keyword searches, basic filters, and favorites for 5 keywords, 5 shops and 1 folder.
- Growth: annual or monthly billing. Growth adds sales, revenue and conversion rate in Product Analytics, unlimited keyword research with Keyword Score, Tag Analyzer, 3 “Hot Filters”, 100 AI Actions a month, MCP access and 3 store connections.
- Business: billed annually, with longer trend windows, unlimited custom filters, unlimited AI Actions and unlimited favorites and store connections.
The FAQ says there is no free trial; the Hobby plan is the way to try it. Our EverBee Hobby vs Growth guide goes through the free limits in detail.
Sale Samurai
Sale Samurai’s pricing page lists:
- Freemium: free. 20 keyword searches and 10 listings analyzed per month, no payment method required.
- Monthly. The card lists product demand research, Etsy search volume and trends, keyword research, top-selling listing research, the free Chrome extension and a shop analytics dashboard.
- Yearly: “everything in Monthly” plus priority support.
The page says “all features included” on paid plans and offers a 3-day free trial. Its FAQ says no credit card is needed to sign up; check the checkout screen to see whether the trial asks for a card when you start it.
On price alone, Sale Samurai is cheaper than EverBee Growth on both annual and monthly billing.
Where EverBee is stronger
EverBee’s core question is “Is this product actually selling?” On paid plans, Product Analytics adds estimated sales, revenue and conversion rate for listings that match a keyword, and the Shop Analyzer applies the same lens to a competitor’s whole shop. See our EverBee Shop Analyzer guide for what that view shows.
- Research-first workflow. It’s a good fit when your bottleneck is choosing a niche or product, not writing listings.
- Works before you have a shop. EverBee’s help center says a buyer account connected to EverBee can be enough.
- Keyword Score and Tag Analyzer on paid plans support titles and tags once you pick a product. See how EverBee calculates Keyword Score and the Tag Analyzer guide.
- A generous free tier for browsing. Hobby doesn’t show sales estimates, but you can see views, reviews and favorites without paying.
Caveats: the paid plan costs more than Sale Samurai, and sales figures are estimates. EverBee’s How does EverBee work? article says Etsy does not share exact sales data with third parties, so the numbers are modeled and should be used as a guide.

Where Sale Samurai is stronger
Sale Samurai’s homepage presents it as an all-in-one Etsy SEO platform and lists these tools:
- Free Chrome extension with search volume on keywords as you type, plus tags and titles from top listings.
- Keyword Research with monthly search volume and low-competition long-tails.
- A/B Listing Tester for titles, photos or prices.
- Listing Creator that generates titles, descriptions and all 13 Etsy tags from keywords.
- Shop Analyzer for your own shop’s revenue, views, favorites and best-sellers.
- Competition Tracker to follow other shops’ listings, tags, prices and estimated sales.
Its Chrome Web Store listing (version 1.0.4, updated September 30, 2026, about 2,000 users when checked) describes keyword volume on Etsy search suggestions, listing analytics on search results, tag checks (tags in title, redundant tags), saved favorites and CSV export. It requires a Sale Samurai account, and Freemium users have monthly limits.
Strengths for beginners:
- Lower paid price and a short trial to test paid features.
- More listing-writing and testing tools in one plan, which helps if you already have listings and want to improve them.
Caveats:
- The homepage includes big marketing claims (seller counts, “average sales increase”, testimonials). Treat those as marketing, not independent results.
- Its pricing FAQ says the data is “based on actual Etsy behavior.” Like any third-party Etsy tool, sales and volume figures are estimates, not Etsy’s own reports.
- The extension has far fewer public ratings than long-established tools, so there is less outside feedback to go on.
How to choose
1) What is your bottleneck?
- “I don’t know what to sell.” Lean EverBee. Its paid analytics center on sales, revenue and conversion for listings and shops.
- “My listings aren’t getting found or converting.” Lean Sale Samurai. Listing Creator, tag checks and the A/B tester go after that problem directly. eRank is another SEO-first option; see EverBee vs eRank.
2) What is your budget?
- Tight budget: Sale Samurai’s paid plan fits. EverBee Hobby is free but leaves out sales estimates.
- Fine with a higher annual plan: EverBee Growth is in range if sales-estimate research is your main job.
3) How will you test before paying?
- EverBee: use Hobby for a week of niche browsing, then decide whether you need the paid columns.
- Sale Samurai: use Freemium first, and start the 3-day trial only when you have a list of keywords and listings ready to check, so the trial doesn’t run out while you’re still setting up.
4) Should you use both?
Usually not at the start. Their keyword and extension features overlap a lot. If you do stack tools, a common split is research-first (EverBee) for product picks plus a listing-SEO tool for titles and tags. For other combinations, see EverBee vs Alura and EverBee vs ProfitTree.
FAQ
Is EverBee or Sale Samurai better?
Neither is better for everyone. EverBee is the clearer pick for sales-estimate product research. Sale Samurai is cheaper and adds listing-writing and A/B testing tools. Pick based on your bottleneck and budget.
Which is cheaper, EverBee or Sale Samurai?
Sale Samurai, on the public pages checked October 18, 2026, compared with EverBee Growth on both monthly and annual billing. Check current price on both pricing pages. Both have a free plan.
Does EverBee have a free trial?
EverBee’s pricing FAQ says it does not offer a free trial, but the Hobby plan is free with no credit card. Sale Samurai advertises a 3-day free trial on paid plans plus a Freemium plan.
Do both tools have a Chrome extension?
Yes. Both add keyword and listing data on Etsy pages. Sale Samurai says its extension is free with every plan and needs a Sale Samurai account; EverBee’s extension also works on the free Hobby plan with limits.
Are the sales numbers accurate?
Treat them as estimates for comparison. Etsy does not publish exact per-listing sales to third-party tools, so both tools model their figures.
Final verdict
If your next decision is what product to make, start with EverBee’s free Hobby plan and upgrade only when you need the sales, revenue and conversion columns. If you want a lower-cost tool for keywords plus listing writing and testing, Sale Samurai’s Freemium plan and 3-day trial are a cheap way to see whether it fits. Check both pricing pages again before you pay, because plans and limits change.
