EverBee and eRank are two of the most popular Etsy seller tools, and “EverBee vs eRank” is one of the most common questions new sellers ask. They overlap less than you might think. EverBee is mainly a product research tool: it estimates what’s selling. eRank is mainly an Etsy SEO tool: it helps your listings get found.

This comparison is based on both companies’ official pricing pages and help centers, checked on October 10, 2026. We haven’t run our own side-by-side test.

Quick verdict

  • No shop yet and still choosing what to sell? Start with EverBee’s free plan. It works with an Etsy buyer account. Upgrade to Growth only if you need sales and revenue estimates.
  • Already have listings that need more views? Start with eRank. Its free plan is useful, and its paid plans start lower.
  • Launching new products regularly? Many sellers use both: EverBee to decide what to make, eRank to optimize how it’s listed.

What EverBee does best

EverBee answers the question “Is this product actually selling?” Its Product Analytics shows estimated monthly sales, revenue, conversion rate and listing age for listings that match a keyword. Shop Analyzer does the same for whole shops. Paid plans add trend charts, a Tag Analyzer and an unlimited Keyword Research tool with EverBee’s Keyword Score.

Strengths for beginners:

  • Works without a shop. EverBee’s Help Center says a buyer account is enough.
  • Research happens on Etsy. The free Chrome extension adds data to Etsy pages. It works on desktop only.
  • Fast niche comparison. Sorting listings by estimated revenue quickly shows which product types and styles are in demand.

The catch: sales and revenue numbers are paid-only. The Hobby plan shows views, reviews and favorites, and EverBee itself says estimates can be “way off” for some listings. Our full EverBee review covers accuracy in detail.

What eRank does best

eRank answers the question “Which words will shoppers use to find my listing?” Its homepage describes keyword research, competitor analysis, trend tracking and listing optimization. eRank’s help articles describe these main tools:

  • Keyword Tool: average searches, clicks, click-through rate and Etsy competition for a keyword, with search trends over time and country filters (eRank Help).
  • Listing Audits, Traffic Stats and Health Check: checks on your own listings. These need a connected Etsy shop (eRank Help).
  • Top Sellers and competitor tracking: browse top-selling shops and monitor competitors. Paid plans raise the number of competitors you can track.
  • Trend Buzz: trending searches across marketplaces.

eRank is open about where its numbers come from. In a help article, it says it relies on “third-party data analytics companies” for search volume estimates, because Etsy hasn’t historically published search data. Like EverBee’s sales figures, eRank’s search volumes are estimates.

Its biggest advantage is price. The paid plans (Basic and Pro first) start lower, with lower rates if you pay annually (pricing).

Which should a beginner use first?

If you don’t have an Etsy shop yet

Your biggest risk is making products nobody buys, so product research comes first.

  1. Create a free Etsy buyer account and connect it to EverBee’s free plan.
  2. Explore a few niches using views, favorites and reviews.
  3. If you’re about to commit to a product line, consider one month or one year of EverBee Growth to see estimated sales and revenue.
  4. Sign up for eRank’s free plan for keyword ideas. Its shop-based features will matter later.

You can also do a lot of this by hand. Our guide to seeing Etsy sales of other sellers covers the free methods.

If you already have listings but few views

Your bottleneck is probably visibility, so start with eRank. Connect your shop, run Listing Audits, and use the Keyword Tool to improve titles and tags. Etsy’s own Marketplace Insights (Shop Manager → Stats) is a useful free extra. It shows real Etsy search counts for 15 keywords per week.

If you launch new designs every month (common for POD)

Using both makes sense here. EverBee helps you decide which designs and niches to make next, and eRank helps you optimize each new listing. If budget is tight, pair EverBee Growth with eRank’s free plan, or eRank Pro with EverBee’s free plan.

If you start with EverBee, follow our beginner workflow for EverBee keyword research to go from a seed list to Etsy titles and tags.

Plan tiers from the official pricing pages on October 10, 2026. EverBee notes that tax may be added based on your billing address.

EverBee is clearly the more expensive of the two. That makes sense only if you’ll use the sales estimates regularly. EverBee’s Terms of Service allow a refund on monthly plans only within three days of purchase. eRank’s pricing FAQ says you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the billing period.

FAQ

Is EverBee or eRank better?

Neither is better overall; they do different jobs. EverBee is better for product research and sales estimates. eRank is better and cheaper for keywords and listing SEO.

Can I use eRank without an Etsy shop?

Partly. eRank’s help center says Listing Audits, Traffic Stats and Health Check need a connected shop. You can still sign up for a free account and use keyword research without one.

Can I use EverBee without an Etsy shop?

Yes. EverBee says you can connect a buyer account instead of a seller account.

Is eRank cheaper than EverBee?

Yes. eRank’s paid plans start lower than EverBee’s Growth plan. Check current price on both official pricing pages.

Should I use EverBee and eRank together?

If you regularly launch new products, yes, it’s a common setup: EverBee for deciding what to make, eRank for keywords and listing audits. If you’re just starting out, try both free plans first.

Are eRank’s search volumes and EverBee’s sales numbers accurate?

Both are estimates. eRank says it uses third-party data for search volumes, and EverBee calls its sales numbers “a guide.” Use them to compare options, not as exact figures.

Final verdict

For most beginners without a shop, EverBee’s free plan is the better first step, because the first decision is what to sell. Once you have listings, eRank becomes the better value for getting them found. If you’re serious about launching products regularly, the two work well together.
